Seasoned clinicians with over 40 years of combined experience

Britt Palmer, LMFT, LPCC, CEDS-C

“People have so much more capacity for self actualization than they realize. Our job is only to help them find what has been within them all along.”

Britt Palmer is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), and Certified Eating Disorder Specialist–Consultant (CEDS‑C) with over 22 years of experience supporting individuals, couples, and families. Her work is grounded in the belief that people have far more capacity for healing and change than they realize, and that therapy should honor the whole system: mind, body, physiology, relationship, and environment.

Her approach integrates experiential and physiology‑informed therapies, including EMDR, biofeedback and HRV training, equine‑assisted psychotherapy, hypnosis, neurofeedback, trauma‑conscious yoga, and applied psychophysiology. She specializes in trauma, eating disorders, chronic stress, nervous system dysregulation, and complex relational patterns.

Britt is currently completing her PhD in Applied Psychophysiology with advanced training in hypnosis, biofeedback, neurofeedback, EMDR, and somatic‑based interventions. Her work is relational, grounded, and deeply experiential—helping clients understand their internal systems, shift long‑standing patterns, and reconnect with their own capacity for regulation and change.

EQUINE PARTNERS

We have 5 horses and a miniature donkey, all of whom are rescues or have been donated to our program. Some are retired athletes, some were lesson horses, and some have had a hard life without much care. Horses are naturally prey animals. In many ways, their brains work similarly to a traumatized person’s brain. Through equine therapy, they also get the chance to experience choice and connection, which allows new neural pathways to form in their brains, just like in people. They become part of our family. The equine assisted work helps them as much as it helps us!

Visit the equine assisted psychotherapy section for more information.

Sorry, they don’t have email. We found that they neglected to check their inbox.
