Meet our team!

Britt Palmer, LMFT, LPCC, CEDS-C

“People have so much more capacity for self actualization than they realize. Our job is only to help them find what has been within them all along.”

Britt Palmer is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), and Certified Eating Disorder Specialist–Consultant (CEDS‑C) with over 22 years of experience supporting individuals, couples, and families. Her work is grounded in the belief that people have far more capacity for healing and change than they realize, and that therapy should honor the whole system: mind, body, physiology, relationship, and environment.

Her approach integrates experiential and physiology‑informed therapies, including EMDR, biofeedback and HRV training, equine‑assisted psychotherapy, hypnosis, neurofeedback, trauma‑conscious yoga, and applied psychophysiology. She specializes in trauma, eating disorders, chronic stress, nervous system dysregulation, and complex relational patterns.

Britt is currently completing her PhD in Applied Psychophysiology with advanced training in hypnosis, biofeedback, neurofeedback, EMDR, and somatic‑based interventions. Her work is relational, grounded, and deeply experiential—helping clients understand their internal systems, shift long‑standing patterns, and reconnect with their own capacity for regulation and change.

Takira Harris, LPC Intern

INDIVIDUAL, COUPLES, and GROUP PSYCHOTHERAPY

“I believe that your story matters and so do you.”

Takira’s approach to therapy is open and collaborative. Together, you will explore and discover beliefs and ideas that are keeping you feeling stuck, sad, anxious, fearful, or angry. She is a firm believer in the power of building strong therapeutic relationships with her clients, as she believes it is the foundation for successful counseling.

Takira holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and is completing the last step of her master’s degree program in clinical mental health counseling as our intern (and we hope she sticks around!)

EQUINE PARTNERS

We have 5 horses, and a miniature donkey, all of whom are rescues or donations to our program. The equine assisted work helps them as much as it helps us! Sessions take place with the herd at our 19 acre farm. (pictured above is Frank, our donkey)

Sorry, they don’t have email. We found that they neglected to check their inbox.
